Privée RX 1 Watchwinder

Playing on the RX name, this new winder is presented as a "prescription" for watch health.  Watches are wound gently with mainspring tension being held virtually constant, assuring time accuracy.  There is absolutely no chance to over wind or stress the watch's winding mechanism.  The winder is fully programmable, with settings of 650, 900 or 1300 turns per day (TPD), the latter selection perfect for winding many recently announced extended power reserve watches with double mainsprings.  Of course, programming can also be selected to provide clockwise, counterclockwise or reversing operation.  Innovative software design provides automatic TPD adjustment to compensate for battery voltage "droop" over time and a flashing LED signals whenever it is time for batteries to be replaced.  The Privée RX case itself is made of solid hardwood instead of MDF and is totally covered with fine veneers, an unusual and expensive construction indeed.  A circular beveled crystal glass window allows watch viewing at any time.  Operation is virtually silent and, as double precision ball bearings are employed on the rotating member, there is no need for lubrication or maintenance.  

The domed case of the Privée RX winder demonstrates the superb skills of the artisans who make each unit by hand.  Available in limited quantities, they are only offered for sale by a select group of high-end ORBITA stocking dealers in the USA and Canada.

We offer a choice of three different piano finishes shown below; a beautiful Burl, an Ebony Macassar, and a very attractive  Light Mappa.  The entire case is lined in black suede and 110° gold-plated hinges facilitate easy watch insertion and removal.  This winder operates at 3 VDC, employing two "D" cell alkaline batteries (not supplied).
