"DALIE" WATCHWINDER

In the past ORBITA has commissioned internationally known artisans to design and build unique cases for its watchwinders utilizing concepts and materials that have earned them their reputations.  Now, ORBITA has "raised the bar" with the introduction of the Ampelio Gorla 30-watchwinder in a Limited Edition of 10 pieces.

Inspired by native Italian flora, the portrait titled "Dalie" is Amepelio Gorla's interpretation of a daylily growing in the field.  The cabinet door portrait is hand crafted using a traditional wood inlaying technique known as "intarsia".  Each piece in the overall design is carefully cut, shaped and fitted by hand.  The end result is a beautiful wooden puzzle, inlaid in a golden brass background and enhanced with highlight inlays of mother-of-pearl.  Altogether, the finished image truly "showcases" the artisan's craftsmanship.  After final assembly, the complete panel is hand-polished, satin-finished and then overcoated with many layers of durable lacquer, protecting and preserving the natural beauty of the wood.  The interplay of the natural colors and grains of the different woods gives each finished piece its own special character....a unique work of art reflecting the skill and patience of the artisan.

Inside the cabinet are thirty (30) individually powered and controlled ORBITA programmable watch winder modules.  A hidden microswitch activates the concealed LED lighting  that brightly illuminates the cabinet interior when the door is swung open. 

The winders can be programmed to provide rotation in either the clockwise or counterclockwise direction or to automatically reverse on each winding cycle.  Turns per day (TPD) can be selected as required to match individual watch requirements.  Choose from 650, 800, 950 or 1300 TPD.

Two drawers on top provide storage space for watch papers, cases and other related accessories.
