Orbita Announces New Sparta Vibrant Bold Series
9/22/2014 – Orbita introduces its Sparta Vibrant Bold Single Watch Winder Series in Fall 2014, announced Orbita CFO Mark Lampkin.
“Unlike other watch winders on the market which rotate a watch in order to wind it, our Sparta winder gently ‘swings’ the watch to wind it, said Lampkin. Every 10 minutes throughout the day, the built-in microprocessor activates a servomotor causing the watch to swing back and forth for several oscillations just as it would if it were being worn on the wrist.”
Radiant colors define this new series of winders. Compact, contemporary and lightweight (2lbs.), each individual winder is ideal for use in safes, at home, or away without the need for a plug-in adapter. Equipped with Orbita’s long-lived lithium D-cell batteries and operating on the normal 10-minute winding cycle, batteries will last for many years. The Sparta Vibrant Bold Series have a distinctive powder-coated metal that is available in assorted colors that include red, yellow, royal blue, white and orange. This portable and not too pricey watch winder measures 4.2” H x 5.7” w x 5.8”D and retails for $295.
